Savor Life's Moments

Cúrate Bar de Tapas: Since 2011

Cúrate was founded by Chef Katie Button and Félix Meana to share the food, wine, and hospitality customs embraced in Spain, where meals are meant to be enjoyed slowly and in good company. When we opened in downtown Asheville in 2011, our goal was to honor those traditions while building lasting relationships with the farmers, makers, and community around us. Today, that spirit continues to guide everything we do, from our restaurant, Cúrate Bar de Tapas, our culinary-inspired tour company Cúrate Travel, to our online marketplace, Cúrate at Home and Spanish Wine Club.

In Spain, we fell in love with the way people use food as a vessel to build community. At Cúrate, we try to bring that same feeling every day to our guests, through the ingredients we source, the culture we nurture, and the way we care for our community.

Our Suppliers

The ingredients we source are the foundation of our work. We partner with Appalachian farmers, Spanish producers, and local purveyors who share our respect for tradition, quality, and origin. These relationships shape our menu and allow us to honor Spanish culinary customs while staying deeply connected to the agricultural community of Western North Carolina.
